Nvidia and TSMC will announce on Friday their first completed U.S.-made wafer that will eventually become Blackwell chips for AI purposes, Nvidia first tells Axios.
This milestone represents some of the first fruits of the Trump administration’s push to build AI technology in the U.S., and stay ahead in the race to control the future of artificial intelligence.
Nvidia founder and CEO Jensen Huang visited TSMC’s semiconductor manufacturing facility in Phoenix on Friday to announce the advance.
