I assume it was the teenagers Apple was thinking about when they did what seems like the most unnecessary thing and redesigned the front-facing camera on this year’s iPhone. I say “unnecessary” because no one asked Apple to reinvent the selfie camera.
Apple, however, says that its users take more than 500 billion selfies a year. This, I guess, explains why the company spent a lot of time thinking about the selfie camera. And it just might be one of the smartest, most delightful features Apple has shipped in years.
