THE CHOSUN — In the movie Jurassic Park, when a giant dinosaur approaches, audiences naturally recall a low, heavy sound as if the ground is trembling. This is because humans intuitively anticipate sounds by considering not only the shape of objects on screen but also their size, weight, and movement speed.
A South Korean research team has now developed an artificial intelligence (AI) technology that generates realistic sounds by calculating the physical properties of objects in videos, much like human intuition.
