BARRON’S — Cook showed Jobs that ultraefficient manufacturing operations that didn’t sacrifice quality were an equally important part of Apple’s success.
Now that Cook is stepping aside, he and the board are turning back the clock by naming a CEO who is primarily a “product guy.”
Like Jobs, Cook chose a longtime Apple employee that worked up the ranks to become a senior leader. Like Cook, Ternus has a deep understanding of Apple’s culture and its relentless focus on user experience.
