Nvidia’s new partnership wants to put mini AI data centers on your house

INC. — California-based Span originally launched back in 2018 with its “smart” electrical panels designed to help homeowners save money on electricity bills. Now it’s upgraded its portfolio to include a mini-data center that can be accessed from anywhere.
In collaboration with AI giant Nvidia, Span is looking to sell its “nodes,” called XFRA units, and install them on the side of residential homes and small commercial businesses for AI cloud providers to extract energy and tap into the network.
