Trump admin fires researcher days into new job over Anthropic ties

PC MAG — A prominent AI researcher, formerly an OpenAI and Anthropic employee, has reportedly been "pushed out" of his position at the Department of Commerce just days into his new job.
Collin Burns started work last week at the agency's Center for AI Standards and Innovation. However, as The Washington Post reports, he was fired on Thursday after the White House realized he had previously worked for Anthropic, which is currently locked in a legal battle with the Pentagon over access to its tools.
