Using AI in the workplace is increasingly becoming essential, and in many cases required. As the technology grows more powerful, many business leaders believe that those who don’t know how to use it will be left behind.
While that’s the reality in many fields, other areas require a bit more nuance around how AI is applied and in what capacity. In fact, it’s possible that it could have the opposite effect, causing a loss of trust and driving customers away from your business.
That’s true for Rachael Smith, the owner of the Salty Otter restaurant in Santa Cruz, California. A few months after she opened the establishment last year, she was hit hard with criticisms of her logo, an otter riding on a surfboard, which she produced with the help of generative AI.
