CNET — Happy 50th Birthday, Apple. On April 1, 1976, Steve Jobs, Steve Wozniak and Ronald Wayne launched the Apple Computer Company (renamed Apple in 2007) to sell the Apple Computer 1 (Apple-I) -- without a monitor or keyboard.
Now 50 years later, Apple has evolved into one of the world's largest companies with an extensive lineup of devices, including smartphones, laptops, earbuds, tablets and smartwatches.
