Microwave-sized machine that debuted at CES ready to take on sprawling data centers

At CES in Las Vegas last week, tech startup Odinn showed off a countertop computer it calls “Omnia,” a compact powerhouse that the California-based company with an office in Las Vegas says can handle the kind of data-hungry AI tasks normally reserved for massive data centers.


The silver box, which weighs less than 90 pounds, fits on a kitchen counter and can run up to four of Nvidia’s top-tier graphics processing units — the same chips that power some of the world’s most advanced supercomputers.


Its secret is in the custom cooling system Odinn designed to keep those components stable without the need for heavy infrastructure.
