Police officer investigated over use of AI to 'create evidence'

THE INDEPENDENT — According to a report in the Financial Times, the officer is alleged to have used AI to “create evidential material in a number of cases”.
The CPS said they are “engaging with” defence teams and courts which may have been affected by the alleged conduct.
A Derbyshire Police spokeswoman said: “A criminal investigation has been launched into an allegation of perverting the course of justice after the alleged use of AI systems by an officer to create evidential material in a number of cases.
