What 'I, Robot' got right about AI that we're missing today

INC. — In the 2004 film I, Robot, detective Del Spooner is desperate for answers. The only person who might have had them is already dead but left behind a hologram programmed to respond to questions.
Spooner asks, “Is there something you want to tell me?”
“I’m sorry, my responses are limited,” the hologram replies. “You must ask the right question.”
That exchange is the most accurate description of working with AI I’ve ever encountered. It was written 20 years before most people had a ChatGPT account.
